Paste as Block

The Paste as Block button pastes data from Clipboard as a block of entities.

Quick Access Panel:

Ribbon: Editor -> Instruments -> Paste as block

Menu: Draw -> Block -> Paste as block

Hotkey: Ctrl+Shift+V

 

A block definition that was created in this way is named automatically with an eight digit number and a prefix "sgBlockByEnt_" Is is displayed in the dialog box Paste block. To paste elements as a block do the following:

1. Select an object or a group of objects in the drawing. To select several objects use the option Fast entities input.

2. Right click and select Copy or Cut or use the hotkeys Ctrl+C or Ctrl+X correspondingly.

3. Press Esc to deselect the objects.

4. Right click and select the command Paste as block or use the hotkey Ctr+Shift+V.

The elements will be connected into an entity.
